Cover-Ups
Most things can be covered. Some need lightening first. Either way we will tell you honestly what it takes — send a photo and we will look at it before you come in.
A cover-up is a different problem from a fresh tattoo. The old piece is still there under the new one, so the design has to be built around it — darker in the places that need to hide something, and shaped so your eye follows the new image instead of the old outline. That usually means going bigger and darker than the original, and it rules some ideas out.
Heavy black or solid saturated work is the hardest to cover and sometimes needs a few laser sessions to lighten first. That is not us upselling — a cover-up over something too dark just looks like a dark smudge, and we would rather tell you that at the consult than after.
